Delabs Games Appoints JC Kim as New Co-CEO, Accelerates Global Push with AI-Powered Web3 Games

Delabs Games announced the appointment of JC Kim, co-founder of Planetarium, as its new Co-Chief Executive Officer. With this strategic leadership expansion, the company is accelerating its transformation into a technology-first global gaming studio, focused on the development of artificial intelligence (AI)-driven Web3 games.

JC Kim is widely regarded as a trailblazer in blockchain gaming. As the co-founder of Planetarium Labs, he led the development of Nine Chronicles, one of the world’s first fully decentralized games built entirely on-chain. Kim also led the global launch of Immortal Rising 2, the sequel to the hit idle RPG Immortal Rising. These projects have integrated community-first gameplay and blockchain infrastructure, further solidifying Kim’s influence in the Web3 gaming space. 

Following the appointment, Delabs Games will expand upon its proven “easy to start, deep to master” mid-core strategy while embracing next-generation game development through AI technologies. The company is set to develop new titles by leveraging its AI game creation platform, Verse8, to deliver immersive and dynamic AI-driven gaming experiences.

Verse8 is an AI-powered, blockchain-based platform that allows users to design, distribute, and monetize their own original games and virtual worlds (Verses) using simple text prompts—no coding required. Complex tasks such as server configuration and asset creation are streamlined through the built-in AI engine Agent8, making high-quality game development accessible to all.

With a focus on user ownership and creative freedom, Verse8 enables a new era of player-driven game creation, powered by Web3 technologies that ensure secure ownership, transparent monetization, and decentralized distribution.
