Microids announces a partnership with Banijay Brands for the video game Survivor: Castaway Island.

The thrill of the iconic TV show is coming your way!

Paris, July 17th 2023 - Microids is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Banijay Brands for the video game Survivor: Castaway Island, based on the Banijay-owned TV format Survivor.

Unleash your inner survivor and embark for the ultimate adventure! Pick from among 12 fearless adventurers, and join a tribe. Survive in the the untamed wilderness, test your skills in exciting challenges and play the social game of alliance and strategy. In this new adventure game, experience the excitement of Survivor as if you were part of the show!
 

Survivor – Castaway Island, developed by Magic Pockets, will be available on October 3rd, 2023, on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on Steam.
 

Following a partnership between Microids and ALP, the producers of Survivor in France (known locally as Koh Lanta), the deal with Banijay Brands builds on the existing game, taking it to global audiences.

Survivor, a Banijay format created by Charlie Parsons, is one of the most watched reality entertainment formats around the world. Celebrating 25 years last year, (the format first launched in 1997 in Sweden), the show has gone on to be ranked as the ‘Number 1 Best Reality Show of All Time’ by Variety. A total of 50 versions and more than 360 series have been commissioned around the world to date, and the CBS version of the show from the USA recently finished airing its 44th series.
