April 22, 2025 | Breda , Netherlands — Independent developer ShortGameMania has announced that their upcoming naval roguelike title, Warship Survival, will be featured during Steam’s Wargame Fest, with a free playable demo launching on April 28, 2025.
Warship Survival offers intense gameplay sessions across randomized battles at sea, combining roguelike progression with fast-paced sea combat. Each run begins with players commanding a humble torpedo boat, after which they can work their way up to frigates, destroyers, submarines, battleships and even aircraft carriers.
Between battles players can invest earned points into permanent upgrades, helping them hit harder and last longer in following runs. The game rewards careful planning and invites another try, challenging players to push further with each attempt. Tower Islands add another layer of danger as stationary but deadly foes that demand caution and strategic thinking.
The game offers a variety of ship types, randomly generated upgrade pathways, and intense, real-time sea combat with a progressively rising difficulty level. The title has not been released yet, and the demo debut during Steam’s Wargame Fest marks the first public opportunity for players to experience the game.
