October 24 2024 - Command your vassals and expand your kingdom in From Chaos’ debut title, Liegecraft, a 4X medieval strategy RPG, coming to Steam in Early Access in 2025.
From Chaos is a five-person Polish studio led by Tomek Dietrich. The team includes developers from CD Projekt Red, Paradox Interactive and 11 bit studios. Their debut title, Liegecraft blends deep, turn-based strategy with immersive character focused role-playing, offering a fresh take on the 4X genre.
Liegecraft combines the addictive ‘one-more-turn’ replayability of the Civilization series with the character-focused diplomacy and statecraft of Crusader Kings 3, delivered in a tangible form. You are a medieval monarch, leading your vassals to build a feudal realm of prosperity. Reward the loyal with power, land and royal titles, scheme against rivals and imprison the disobedient.
But beware, your vassals’ personalities, relationships and flaws may conflict with your strategic goals. Lead them wisely, shaping their traits and balancing their needs or risk their petty squabbles leading to bloodshed and ruin.
Liegecraft is a turn-based sandbox strategy experience with a strong focus on RPG-calibre storytelling. Taking inspiration from the hero-focused games like Heroes of Might & Magic 3, the game lets you ride out into your lands as the king or take direct control of your vassals. Expand your realm by developing your provinces and researching powerful technologies throughout the medieval ages. And when diplomacy fails, lead massive armies into epic battles or resolve matters in one-on-one duels.
Beyond turn-based strategic planning, Liegecraft offers immersive, real-time events: from lavish feasts and tavern brawls to royal hunts and castle dungeons exploration. Without careful leadership, your quarrelsome vassals may end up jeopardizing these diplomatic missions. Manage their desires, keep them in check, or risk civil war if you cannot stop their tempers from rising above petty disputes.
Each playthrough is a unique experience: roam a brand new map with a fresh cast of characters with each new scenario. If you crave handcrafted adventures from like-minded players, explore the game’s extensive map editor and modding capabilities, download user-created scenarios and mods or create your own.
