Gust of Wind, a story driven stealth game, announces EA release date on new trailer

Finland, June 28, 2023 - A new game developer, Wrenchpunk Games, has released a new trailer announcing that their upcoming stealth game, Gust of Wind, will be launched on Steam's Early Access on July 31st.

The game is set in a rust-ridden, post-apocalyptic world, where mutant gulls are fighting for survival among the ruins of a foregone industrial age civilization. A faction called "redscarves" is clamoring the lands. Your home town is the last bastion on its continent still standing to fight them. The defense of the town leans on it's pneumatic weapons, and your crew has been sent across seas to find a working compressor.

The player can sneak, climb or fight their way through the small but open environments, such as sail ships, islands and mine tunnel networks. Using stealth is encouraged in dialog and through the difficulty of fighting. Non-lethal takedowns can be used and bodies can be hidden to get rid of the nosy guards. However, when stealth fails, objects like hand tools and torches can be used as bludgeoning weapons. Fights in Gust of Wind are heated and usually end quickly.

Player can also use boats, grappling hooks, and hand-operated cranes to have several options for accessing an area.

Key features:
-The Early Access version has about 3 hours of content in 3 missions set in small but open environments -Sneak, climb, fight, row, and explore derelict environments -Old school stealth experience with little hand holding with indicators -Melee weapons with dual wielding and throwable items like grappling hooks and "doze grenades"
-A story centered around survival and connivery, with dialog that conforms to player's actions -Open environments with a tense mood fortified by the sound track
