Cologne, September 1st, 2020 – devcom digital conference 2020 set a record with over 2.200 attendees at the core conference event, 94 talks and panels and countless valuable connections that were made. The digitalization of devcom, that needed to happen because of the Corona pandemic, led to one of the most accessible and international devcoms to date. Due to the high accessibility of this year’s devcom program 1.054 companies supported the event, exhibited their products or joined the matchmaking.

As gamescom’s official B2B partner, devcom offered its attendees  several ways to help with business development. Via the 1on1 Meetings, Random Networking and Speed Game Dating altogether over 2.700 business appointments took place. Also, “devcom Pitch it!” was very popular, with a total of over 400 meetings between 113 participating developers and 48 publishers.

Parallel to the devcom digital conference 2020, the devcom Twitch Show, as part of devcom 365’s year-round program, complimented the program with insightful interviews additional talks and indie game presentations. A total of 450.000 unique views was reached with over 100 hours of stream and more than 100 guests.

All devcom Twitch Shows are available on Twitch and will also be uploaded on YouTube soon.

“All these amazing talks and sessions were made possible by a joint effort of our numerous wonderful speakers, partners and exhibitors. During this pandemic, that made things so much more challenging for all of us, we are proud of the short notice changes we were able to make, our devcom 365 program and – perhaps most of all – that we were able to bring people together digitally this year. With the incredible work of my team we were able to make this year’s devcom truly special,” says Stephan Reichart, Managing Director of devcom.
“The rest of the year we will continue devcom 365 with the regular Game Dev Show, the devcom tutorials and the long-awaited Masterclasses. Of course, we are looking forward to hopefully seeing everyone in person online and offline again next year.”

Even more game development insights are available with the almost twenty devcom podcasts on Patreon.
