Marinara Trench - Oct. 12, 2020 - In a partnership more inevitable than the eventual heat-death of the universe, Strange Scaffold, the microstudio behind An Airport for Aliens Currently Run by Dogs, is the sponsor for what appears to be the season finale of Blaseball: the only sport that matters.The promotion coincides with a major content update for the upcoming An Airport For Aliens Currently Run By Dogs (hereafter called Dog Airport Game, for sanity reasons). The game has reached a major development milestone with the completion of its full slate of 6 open-world airports, meaning it has now officially entered alpha. Included in this update is a brand new character, Sports Dog, the avatar of all that is and is not Blaseball within the universe of Dog Airport Game. Upcoming updates to the game post-alpha are the addition of more quests, secrets, and a filling out of the open-worlds with stuff that is generally believed to make a game good.
On his decision to work with Blaseball, Dog Airport Game director Xalavier Nelson Jr. had this to say:

Working together, I believe we can capture the entirety of the human experience.” When pressed for more details about content in the update, he begged, “If I tell them about Cage Dog, the Dog Who Loves Cages, we’ll be held accountable. He’ll ruin us. Please, let’s just focus on the Blaseball.”Dog Airport Game is currently supported by an active community on Patreon, and with the announcement of the move into alpha, the team is excited as they barrel headlong into the completion of the game itself.
