Middlesbrough, UK – 14th July, 2023 – Developer and publisher Double Eleven today announces the continuation of its partnership with Wizard Fu, the one-man development studio which released sci-fi action RPG Songbringer in 2017. The two are collaborating to bring Wraithbinder, an action roguelite RPG set in the Songbringer universe, to PC. From July 14 to 25, the game is having a new beta phase in which players can try out the brand new online co-op mode.
Wraithbinder features a Metroidvania inspired ability-based progression. Each run you play through a randomly-generated world while choosing a new sequence of weapons (ranged, melee, etc), relics and abilities that support the playstyle you want for the current session. Each new ability allows you to access new areas of the world while relics buff your character or debuff enemies.
The game features multiple bosses and is highly replayable, with a lot of strategic choices, hidden items and pathways… When you die, you lose some of your gold and light but you keep your armor and stats. Between runs you return to the hub, your Ship, where you can permanently power up your character using the light and gold you have collected on your run.
At the moment, the game can be played offline solo or online with a friend via Steam. The developer plans to offer co-op up to four players and add a PVP mode later down the line.
