[MARMALADE GAME STUDIO —22/04/2025] — Marmalade Game Studio has announced two major updates for its cult-favourite digital card game, Exploding Kittens 2. Players can now get their paws on a new expansion, Streaking Kittens, which features additional cards and decks, along with a much-requested feature – content sharing, allowing a game’s host to share expansions with friends who don’t own them.
Streaking Kittens is a high-stakes expansion that emphasises stealing, all while adding the risk of taking an Exploding Kitten card from your opponent’s hand. It adds five new card abilities to the game:

Swap Top and Bottom – Swap the top and bottom cards of the draw pile

Mark – Force an opponent to reveal a card and keep it revealed

Garbage Collection – Every player shuffles a card from their hand into the draw pile

Catomic Bomb – Put all Exploding Kittens cards to the top of the draw pile

Streaking Kitten – With this in hand, a player is protected if they draw an Exploding Kitten card, meaning they can keep hold of it
The expansion also adds three new decks with their own special twists:

Streaking Kittens deck – Embrace a new style of mischief with a deck themed around stealing cards

Danger Mode deck – A highly explosive deck loaded with Exploding Kittens cards

Attack of the Attacks deck – An aggressive deck that causes huge Attack chains
“We’ve been on an amazing journey with our Exploding Kittens 2 players, and their feedback has been invaluable in shaping the game,” says Filipa Evangelista, Exploding Kittens 2 Producer at Marmalade Game Studio. “With new content rolling out, we are delighted to also implement a mechanic that allows players to share their expansions with their friends.”
To celebrate the release of Streaking Kittens, content sharing will be added as part of a free update. With this feature, players will be able to play Exploding Kittens 2 using their expansions when playing with friends – even if their friends don’t own them yet!
Users can now download Exploding Kittens 2 from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Steam.
