‘THE EPYX GAMES — SPORTS COLLECTION’ ARRIVES ON NINTENDO SWITCH NOVEMBER 28TH

NEW COLLECTION FEATURES ‘CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING’,
‘WINTER GAMES’, AND BEST-SELLER ‘CALIFORNIA GAMES’ INCLUDES OVER 50 DIFFERENT ATHLETIC AND SPORTING EVENTS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Epyx Games — Sports Collection brings eight classic retro sports titles to Nintendo SwitchTM this November. Available to pre-order on November 21st from the Nintendo eShop, this latest collection from Pixel Games UK delivers classic sporting glory on modern hardware.

In the 1980s, the gold-medal-winning name for sports games was Epyx. Now you can relive over 50 different athletic and sporting events across eight of Epyx’s retro classics in this remastered collection, including the best-seller California Games (1987).

Developed by Imagine Software, players can now relive the glory days of sports games or experience them for the first time on Nintendo Switch — with up to 8 friends able to join you in local co-op.

The Epyx Games — Sports Edition includes:

  • Summer Games (1984)
  • Summer Games II (1985)
  • Winter Games (1985)
  • World Games (1986)
  • Championship Wrestling (1986)
  • California Games (1987)
  • The Games — Winter Edition (1988)
  • The Games — Summer Edition (1988)

Each game in the collection also features recreations of the original box art, fully integrated instruction manuals, and additional display filters to capture that full retro feeling. Players will also be able to save their games, and each game features right-handed and left-handed controller presets.
