PHILADELPHIA - May 13, 2025 - Videogame music record label GameChops and New York-based jazz ensemble VGM Collective are pleased to present Live from Pallet Town. Relax and unwind with this smooth jazz tribute to the beloved Pokémon series available on streaming platforms and via the full recording session video found below. The VGM Collective, led by trumpet player Max Boiko, presents gentle, intimate, and largely improvised arrangements of classic Pokémon music featuring piano, bass, drums, flute, and saxophone.

This debut studio album covers fan favorites from Pokémon Red & Blue through Pokémon Black & White 2, plus iconic themes from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and Pokémon Stadium 2. Featuring compositions by Junichi Masuda, Hitomi Sato, Go Ichinose, Arata Iiyoshi, Hajime Wakai, and Shota Kageyama, this album is perfect for Pokémon fans, jazz enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a relaxing atmosphere with their music.

"I’ve played Pokémon games as long as I can remember," comments VGM Collective's Max Boiko. "I got a Game Boy Pocket and Pokémon Blue when I was about 4. After studying music for a number of years, I revisited the games and the music and with my newly-found musical knowledge, and with the help of some friends who are also local NYC jazz musicians, we realized how incredible the music was and covered our favorite themes in our own way. Generation 3 (Ruby and Sapphire) are my favorite titles in the series and so of course I was glad to include them!"
