Press Release Request for Earth, Fire, and Wind

San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA – After nearly three years of development and production, Serious Mlerm is ready to launch their first title for Early Access on Steam and Epic Games in February 2024, with release scheduled for March 23, 2024 on Steam, Epic Games, and Apple Store.  Rated for all ages, “Earth, Fire, and Wind” is an original story couched in an open world; an ARPG with elemental martial arts magic in an Anime style with Asian modern classical music. Choose your character and their elemental magic strengths and hit the ground running with an action-filled introduction into a world suspiciously similar to Taupo, New Zealand.

About The Game

Pirates have invaded the land.  Brave heroes embark on a quest to save their island: Ari, a recently retired veteran; Susan, a local who would do anything to protect her people; and then there’s you.  You are a healer with no fighting experience and are pulled into the fray.  As your character gains experience and learns new magic skills, they are able to help fight against the invaders and other dangerous foes. The main opponents are pirates who have elemental magic as well, and magical creatures that wander throughout the land, who are concentrated in certain areas, or guard sacred places.  Also, you can pet the dogs.

Gameplay Description

This original fantasy story is set in the far future, but pre-industrial era, based on an area centered around Taupo, New Zealand. As an open world game, there are numerous navigational aids to assist you, but this is still a vast wilderness with an expansive map, so you will get lost.  The art style complements the landscape and music, giving off a calm and peaceful vibe. The UI integrates well with the art style with an uncluttered, uncomplicated minimalist approach.  Regarding minimalism, there is no inventory.  The combat game play is a very smooth mixture of martial arts and elemental magic VFX to give the impression of traditional martial arts sparring, using magic instead of weapons. The combat system makes extensive use of range, movement to dodge or close, and disabling opponents.  In addition to fighting, there is also platforming and exploration; all suitable for a young audience.
