Paris – October 6, 2021 – Microids is pleased to announce the opening of a brand new video game development studio, Microids Studio Paris, located in the French capital! This new entity comes after the opening of a studio last June in Lyon as the company continues to expand its development activities with this second internal studio. Microids Studio Paris will work on new adventure games.
Antoine Villette will be at the head of Microids Studio Paris as Studio Director. Antoine Villette is an established personality in the French video game industry and has made a name for himself with productions acclaimed by gamers and the press worldwide such as Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare and Cold Fear. In 2011, he joined the Musée national Picasso-Paris as Digital Director and more recently, he contributed to the influence of the Culture Pass in France as Director of Technology.
"The creation of this studio comes as an addition to the one we launched last June, under the direction of David Chomard. Microids Studio Paris aims to develop adventure games Microids is well known for. We are delighted to be able to count on Antoine Villette (founder and president of Darkworks) to lead this studio" says Stéphane Longeard, CEO of Microids.

The opening of this studio in Paris will allow the teams to devote themselves to new large-scale projects that will come to fruition in the coming years.
