Illinois — September 13, 2023 — Solo indie developer, Blue and Red Games, recently announced that it would expand the available languages for its inaugural project, the anime-styled retro survival horror thriller GHOST at DAWN.
Scheduled for an October 6, 2023 launch, GHOST at DAWN is a fully developed horrifying romp slated to release exclusively on Steam. Originally available exclusively in English, Blue and Red Games is looking to add French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, and Traditional/Simplified Chinese
However, Blue and Red Games founder, Brandon Roberts, wants to bring the frights and specters haunting the abandoned Pines Hotel both to consoles and PC platforms internationally.
GHOST at DAWN follows world-weary private eye Ben O’Hara as he struggles to leave the horrors of World War II behind and focus on his latest case–the search for a missing girl. When all leads point to the once-flourishing Pines Hotel, O’Hara faces the malevolent ghosts of the location’s sordid and bloodied past. His journey into the macabre puts his psyche and life on the line as he uncovers the hotel’s darkest secrets.
Fashioned after classic survival horror games like Resident Evil, GHOST at DAWN offers limited resources and a bounty of supernatural threats. O’Hara will face demons from without and within, exorcising corporeal threats with upgradable WWII-era firearms while drinking himself ever further along a downward spiral.
The truth behind Emi Kosuke’s disappearance lies somewhere in the belly of The Pines Hotel, but even the most hardened investigator has a breaking point. Should the spirits of the hotel overwhelm players, they can escape with their lives, taking what evidence they secured with them. Stay too long, and O’Hara may succumb to the darkness infesting the hotel and join its eternal inhabitants.
